PITCH a plain looking high school girl with resting bitch face, who just so happens to be possessed by one of the horsemen of the apocalypse.

as a person, asa mitaka ~~fucking sucks~~ is critical and harsh at best, and deeply unpleasant and self-centered at worst. she's the embodiment of we're so back -> it's so over -> we're so back, swinging wildly between thinking she's the best and everyone else is the problem, to showing enough self-awareness to realize that her own negative and jealous attitude is largely what keeps her from actually making progress with her relationships. she's more concerned with how others see her than anything else; believing that as long as her intentions were good, nobody has the right to criticize her for the outcome. does she grant this same grace to others? lmao don't be an idiot.

but however bad asa is, the literal devil inside her is worse. equal parts prideful and immature, yoru kills people with zero remorse but throws a childish tantrum at being called stupid. while underpowered or kept in check, she's more of a buttmonkey than anything else, but the series makes it very, very clear that she is still a monster who takes glee in suffering and destruction. asa's influence has resulted in her developing some more human emotions (the ability to feel guilt and empathize with others), but this should not be mistaken as any sort of moral progression. she just doesn't want her toys to break.

GENERAL my default for threads will be asa in control with yoru providing occasional commentary in her mind (aka in brackets), please let me know if you specifically do or do not want yoru involved in a thread otherwise! if we go the assumed cr route i'm fine with characters already knowing about yoru being inside her, otherwise she will make a (poor) effort to hide it.

when interacting with part 1 canonmates, i default to shifting asa's timeline up a year-ish and have her also be a part of public safety's special division under makima. she wouldn't know about makima being [spoilers] since yoru doesn't recognize most people by their appearance; i assume her own contract being with the war devil would be a secret outside of makima/the other higher-ups, and maybe her teammates.

AU not really interested in playing her without yoru in some form UNLESSSSS you play a demon or bad influence character who wants to be the one possessing her instead. or it's a fate master/servant au. gimme. otherwise i'm completely open to aus! i don't need to be canon familiar to plot something out. she'd likely be a ""normal"" girl possessed by whatever passes for a great malevolent force in that world in search of power. too bad it's still an idiot.

SHIPS lol......................... described as a "girl who's desperate for a boyfriend" but manages to fumble even the most girl crazy guy in canon. one of those 'forms deep intimate relationships with women within five minutes of meeting them but takes months to admit she likes a guy' bisexuals. will crush on anyone who is nice to her (or girls that are playfully mean). as a general rule, asa will top with guys but bottom with girls, whereas yoru will top regardless (or at least try to).

crosscanon: general pref for characters around her age (17), and older women because of her mommy issues. i would prefer no ocs for shipping unless i know you!

note that asa is INCREDIBLY repressed and has a ton of unhealthy views around sex and intimacy, i can tone it down a bit for gen threads but this is an unavoidable part of her character when it comes to shipping, and one of the major themes of csm as a whole.

later in canon: semi-famous private devil hunter. poster girl of a church with all kinds of bad rumours swirling about it (underage marriage, sex, weapon hoarding, who the fuck knows what else). even later: wanted criminal, responsible for the deaths of thousands.

HAUNTS school rooftop. library. back of a classroom where she hopes nobody notices her but secretly wishes she could have a meet-cute with a boy like in some romance story. depression rotting in her apartment most of the time, but might occasionally be seen in a museum, aquarium or cafe.

TRIGGERS chainsaw man is one of those cw: everything canons; asa's backstory has parental abuse (especially violence and alcoholism), parental death, pet death, severe bullying, identity issues, suicidal ideation, and loss of agency/bodily autonomy. yoru is the embodiment of the fear of war itself so you can imagine the warnings that come with that: she's violent, impulsive, hedonistic, and seemingly lacks any concept of consent, much to asa's chagrin. i will avoid the heavier of these topics wherever possible unless i know you're cool with it.
