| IC INFO. CHARACTER: asa mitaka / yoru (war devil) SERIES: chainsaw man AGE: 17 / ??? HEIGHT: 168cm / 5'6" VOICE: yuumi kawai as fujino in look back (headcanon) NOTABLE FEATURES: a plain looking high school girl with resting bitch face, who just so happens to be possessed by one of the horsemen of the apocalypse. when yoru is in control of her body, there is obvious scarring across her face, along with an even more obvious change in personality. as a person, asa but however bad asa is, the literal devil inside her is worse. equal parts prideful and immature, yoru kills people with zero remorse but throws a childish tantrum at being called stupid. while underpowered or kept in check, she's more of a buttmonkey than anything else, but the series makes it very, very clear that she is still a monster who takes glee in suffering and destruction. asa's influence has resulted in her developing some more human emotions (the ability to feel guilt and empathize with others), but this should not be mistaken as any sort of moral progression. she just doesn't want her toys to break. IC PERMISSIONS. PHYSICAL AFFECTION: yes, if receiving she will be surprised and awkward with girls and probably confrontational with boys. asa is very unlikely to initiate any sort of physical contact, whereas yoru is highly possessive and will use "affection" as a display of aggression or dominance. PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: yes, depending on canonpoint asa has managed to become a decent fighter but nothing extraordinary. yoru, however, is as skilled a warrior as you'd expect from a creature called the "war devil", only limited by the fact she's possessing a human body, albeit one that can take more abuse than most. she (and asa by extension) have the power to turn things into weapons by establishing ownership of them; this can vary from a pencil to a whole building to a person. the more guilty she feels about destroying the thing, the stronger the weapon. TELEPATHY: yes, but she has a whole second being living in her head who might notice and be pissed if you go poking around. yoru's presence gives her some resistance to low-level/subliminal mind control, though she's not wholly immune to strong focused attacks. more than happy for it from an ooc standpoint though, just let me know and i will give you both yoru and asa's thoughts! you can listen in on their internal arguments. ROMANCE: lol......................... described as a "girl who's desperate for a boyfriend" but manages to fumble even the most girl crazy guy in canon. one of those 'forms deep intimate relationships with women within five minutes of meeting them but takes months to admit she likes a guy' bisexuals. will crush on anyone who is nice to her (or girls that are playfully mean). as a general rule, asa will top with guys but bottom with girls, whereas yoru will top regardless (or at least try to). canon: favs are denji, reze, makima if you want to get freaky with it, and i will happily play either half of the asa/yoru ship as well. probably "fami" once we get more on her? also ngl kinda into the asa/denji/yoshida ot3 where asa and yoshida are both haters and not REMOTELY into each other, just mutually trapped by denji's mouthbreathing rizz. crosscanon: general pref for characters around her age (17) besides the obvious exceptions up there, and maybe older women because of her mommy issues. i would prefer no ocs for shipping unless i know you! uhhh i don't have a nsfw pref list for her so jalter's will do for now. note that asa is INCREDIBLY repressed and has a ton of unhealthy views around sex and intimacy, i can tone it down a bit for gen threads but this is an unavoidable part of her character when it comes to shipping, and one of the major themes of csm as a whole. OTHER NOTES: my default for threads will be asa in control with yoru providing occasional commentary in her mind (aka in brackets), please let me know if you specifically do or do not want yoru involved in a thread otherwise! i'm also big on aus so feel free to @ me about those anytime. if we go the assumed cr route i'm fine with characters knowing about yoru being inside her, spiritually sensitive characters are also free to pick up on it out the gate. she's also technically dead, with yoru having taken over her corpse but left her consciousness intact. when interacting with part 1 exclusive characters, i'm happy to either assume they lived to the events of part 2, or shift asa's timeline up a year-ish and have her also be a part of public safety's special division under makima. if the latter, she wouldn't know about makima being [spoilers] since yoru doesn't recognize her sisters by their appearance; i assume her own contract being with the war devil would be a secret outside of makima/the other higher-ups, and maybe her teammates. | |

OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: i'm good with whatever! chainsaw man is one of those cw: everything canons; asa's backstory in particular has parental death, pet death, severe bullying, identity issues, (mostly past) suicidal ideation, and loss of agency/bodily autonomy. yoru is the embodiment of the fear of war itself so you can imagine the warnings that come with that; she's also impulsive, hedonistic, and seemingly lacks any concept of consent, much to asa's chagrin. |
